Building owners covered by the ordinance are required to benchmark their energy, gas, and water usage using the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and submit the data to the City of Columbus annually by June 1st. This requirement aims to facilitate monitoring and assessment of energy and water consumption trends, supporting the city’s efforts to improve efficiency and sustainability.
